#03 Liv Player (she/her)
Liv was first introduced to ultimate while attending summer camp at Duke University in high school. She credits Ty Aderhold, former head coach of DC Shadow, for inspiring her love of frisbee as he was both her camp counselor at Duke and a senior member of the ultimate frisbee team at Harvard University when she began school in 2015. After graduating in 2019, Liv played casually in the Boston area for a few years before joining Portland Rising and Boston Sprocket for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, helping lead Sprocket to a National final appearance in 2024. She is excited to continue her frisbee journey with Gridlock in 2025!

#09 Cassie Brown (she/her)
Cassie is back for season 2 repping the 2nd best city in the world (everyone knows what her favorite city is). She started playing in college at the University of Chicago and played many years in the Midwest before making a big move to the East coast where she currently plays for New York Bent.

#18 Yvonne Tang (she/her)
Yvonne’s ultimate frisbee journey began at Watchung Hills Regional High School, where she had the rare opportunity to compete in an established varsity program with some of her best friends. She was a founding member of the DeVYL U-17 Girls team and eventually captained the DeVYL U-20 Girls team in her senior year. After a four-year hiatus during college, she returned to the game with club teams PBNJ and Grand Army.

El viaje de Yvonne en el ultimate frisbee comenzó en Watchung Hills Regional High School, donde tuvo la rara oportunidad de competir en un programa universitario establecido junto a algunas de sus mejores amigas. #23 Caitlyn Tien (she/her)
Caitlyn started playing as a freshman in college after years of soccer didn't lead to the national team. She then played and captained at UChicago as well as playing for Chicago Nemesis, where she tried to learn how to throw in the wind. She now plays for New York BENT and is excited to play her rookie season with Gridlock (soon to be Mild Traffic, thanks to congestion pricing)

#30 Aimee Teplitskiy (she/her) Practice Player
Aimee “Dash” Teplitskiy first picked up frisbee as a freshman at Lehigh University in 2018. She went on to play all four years at Lehigh and helped their team toward two Nationals appearances. Aimee moved back to New York City in 2022 and joined the mixed club team Swipes, and is entering her 4th season with the team (2nd as captain) this summer.

#36 Lindsay Ork (she/her) Practice Player
Lindsay started playing ultimate her freshman year of college at SUNY New Paltz in 2018, and went on to captain the team for two years. After graduating she stayed in the Hudson Valley and has been playing club with the Hudson Valley Funk since 2022, and most recently captained the team for the 2024 season. Outside of ultimate Lindsay is involved in the climbing community up in the Gunks!

Marié started playing ultimate at Chico State and played with a mixed team called Platypi before moving to the east coast. She's been playing with NY Bent since and completed her 3rd season captaining. Her current hobbies are painting and making clay food miniatures.

Ella started playing ultimate at H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program in 2015. In 2018, she was selected for the USA U20 National Women's Team, which won gold at the World Junior Ultimate Championships. Ella then went on to play for and captain UNC Pleiades, where she helped the team earn 3 national titles in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In the club division, she has played on DC Scandal (2017), DC Space Heater (2019), NC Phoenix (2021-22), and most recently NY BENT (2023-24, serving as a captain in 2024). This past fall, Ella was selected for the 2025 USA Beach Women's National Team.

Eastelle started playing ultimate in high school and went on to play in the Canadian University series with Western University. Since moving to New York, she has played with BKBC in the club division and captained Chimera, the Columbia University team.

#24 Jolie Krebs (she/her)
Jolie is back for year two with NY Gridlock! She was introduced to Ultimate in her senior year of high school in Brooklyn, NY. She went on to play in the D-I college division with Binghamton University's Big Bear starting her sophomore year, and captained the team in her junior and senior years. Over her four years, she led Binghamton to four consecutive nationals appearances, the first appearances in school history. In her senior year, Jolie won the Callahan Award, Offensive Player of the Year, All-American First Team, and runner-up for Player of the Year. In the club division, Jolie has played the past two seasons in the mixed division with New York XIST, and was runner-up for Mixed Breakout Player of the Year in 2023. Jolie is amped to represent NYGL for the 2025 season!

#31 Eli Presberg (they/them)
Eli's back! This is Eli's 2nd year playing Gridlock, and their 8th playing ultimate. Their first love will always be the Oberlin Flying Horsecows. They are looking to lead the team in some key statistical categories this season: turnovers, turnover %, drops, offensive inefficiency, yards lost after catch, and travels.

#44 Kayla Seeger (she/her) Practice Player
Despite being born into a frisbee family, Kayla started playing Ultimate in her last month of high school. In college, she quickly fell in love with her first real team, the Oberlin Preying Manti, and has been chasing the highs of collective growth ever since. She played for NY BENT from 2019-2022 and will be returning as a second year captain to Grand Army this year.

#01 Zella Sahar (she/her) Practice Player
Zella started playing ultimate in high school and had the opportunity to compete in YCC, which helped developed her love for the sport early on. In college, she served as the college captain for Minnesota Matrix, which pushed her to refine her game, improve her leadership skills, and foster a strong culture. For club, Zella played for Minnesota Pop for 3 years, where gained her valuable experience competing at a high competitive level. Zella also spent a season playing for Party Wave, a Hawai’i mixed team where she was introduced to different play styles. On NYGL, Zella is excited to play with incredible athletes and continue her growth as a player.

#05 Emily Wang (she/her)
Emily was introduced to ultimate through her older brother, and after many years of cajoling, she decided to give the sport a try in 2013 . She quickly fell in love with it and played with her local YCC team, Cincinnati Belle, throughout high school. After spending her college career in Texas with Rice Torque, she moved to NYC where she most recently competed with Brooklyn Grand Army. When she is not playing ultimate, Emily can be found either climbing or running.

Casey started playing in high school after her mother encouraged her to give it a try. After a hiatus during college, she joined the mixed club team Grand Army and has played for them the past three years. She enjoys cheering on her mother at great grandmasters tournaments or trying to guard her sister at leagues.

#26 Mari Malin (she/her)
Mari started playing frisbee while she was a junior in high school. She fell in love with the sport so quickly, that she decided to start playing club and YCC that very same year. After high school, she went on to play 4 years in college, and ended up captaining for 2 of those years. She bounced around to many different states, before landing in New York just over 8 months ago. Since she started playing, she has played on Madison NOISE, Madison Heist, Denver Flight Club, practiced for Colorado Alpenglow, and finally landed with Grand Army this past season.

#33 Valeria Cárdenas (she/her)
Ultimate has been a fundamental part of my life, leading me to overcome my own limits and live incredible experiences. Throughout my career, I have had the honor of representing Colombia and obtaining international achievements that have marked my path.
My career began in 2012, when I was part of the Colombian team that achieved first place in the Junior World Cup. In 2014, we stood out again as a team with third place in the same tournament, and the following year, we achieved first place in the Pan American Games in Mexico with Revolution. In 2016, we continued on to great achievements, such as second place in the Nations World Cup and third place in the Junior World Cup that same year. In 2017, we took second place at the World Games, in addition to winning first place at the US Open, also with Revolution.
In 2021, I was part of Revolution, winning the Premier Ultimate League, and in 2022, with my team Revolution, we won the Club World Cup and a bronze medal at the World Games with Colombia, in addition to being recognized as the athlete of the year.
Regarding my national achievements, I have been champion of the Interleague with Antioquia and the National University with the University of Medellín. At the club level, Revolution has been Interclub champion 10 times, and with my team Macana, which I founded with my sister and a group of friends, we won gold in the National Interclub in 2023 and 2024, as well as the CUP in 2021 and 2022.
In 2024, I returned to the PUL with NY, where we achieved victory in the PUL and I was recognized as the MVP of the finals. In addition, I obtained first places in international tournaments such as the Windmill and TEP, and gold in the National University with the University of Medellín. That same year, I also had the honor of playing with the Colombian team in the WUC World Cup, where we took second place. With my team Macana, we got first place in the Colombian National Club Championship. I am very excited to return for my second year with NYGL.

El ultimate ha sido una parte fundamental de mi vida, llevándome a superar mis propios límites y a vivir experiencias increíbles. A lo largo de mi carrera, he tenido el honor de representar a Colombia y obtener logros internacionales que han marcado mi camino.
Mi trayectoria comenzó en 2012, cuando formé parte de la selección colombiana que logró el primer lugar en el Mundial Junior. En 2014, volvimos a destacar como equipo con el tercer lugar en el mismo torneo, y al siguiente año, conseguimos el primer puesto en el Panamericano de México con Revolution. En 2016, seguimos alcanzando grandes logros, como el segundo lugar en el Mundial de Naciones y el tercer lugar en el Mundial Junior de ese mismo año. En 2017, conseguimos el segundo lugar en los World Games, además de ganar el primer lugar en el US Open, también con Revolution.
En 2021, fui parte de Revolution, ganando la Premier Ultimate League, y en 2022, con mi equipo Revolution, conseguimos el Mundial de Clubes y una medalla de bronce en los World Games con Colombia, además de ser reconocida como la atleta del año.
En cuanto a mis logros nacionales, he sido campeona de los Interligas con Antioquia y del Nacional Universitario con la Universidad de Medellín. A nivel de clubes, Revolution ha sido campeón de los Interclubes en 10 ocasiones, y con mi equipo Macana, que fundé junto a mi hermana y un grupo de amigas, ganamos el oro en el Nacional Interclubes en 2023 y 2024, así como la CUP en 2021 y 2022.
En 2024, regresé a la PUL con NY, donde conseguimos la victoria en la liga profesional y fui reconocida como la MVP de las finales. Además, obtuve primeros lugares en torneos internacionales como el Windmill y el TEP, y el oro en el Nacional Universitario con la Universidad de Medellín. Ese mismo año, también tuve el honor de jugar con la selección colombiana en el Mundial WUC, donde logramos el segundo lugar. Con mi equipo Macana, conseguimos el primer lugar en el Nacional de Clubes de Colombia.
#66 Janine Hlavaty (she/her)
Janine has been playing frisbee for 11 years, starting her career with Rutgers Nightshade. She has played with BENT and XIST and has coached Rutgers Nightshade and the DEVYL U-20 Girls team. When she's not playing frisbee, she is either trail running or playing way too much Sims.

#02 Meta Learey (she/her) Practice Player
Meta started playing ultimate with friends and family back in 2015, and instantly fell in love with it. Coming from a lacrosse background she was able to understand the game quickly. She then joined local indoor leagues to get her fix, and eventually found her way to the Hudson Valley Funk in 2018. She played with the Funk for a couples years then took some years off ultimate. She rediscovered her love for the sport a couple years ago and is now making it an integral part of her life.

Meta comenzó a jugar ultimate con amigos y familiares en 2015, y de inmediato se enamoró del deporte. Proveniente de un fondo en lacrosse, pudo entender el juego rápidamente. Luego se unió a ligas locales de indoor para satisfacer su necesidad de jugar y, eventualmente, llegó al Hudson Valley Funk en 2018. Abby started playing in middle school at Eckstein Middle School in Seattle. She has now played in college, the mixed division, the womens division, the western ultimate league, and on worlds teams. She is excited for her first year in the PUL with Gridlock!

#70 Benish Benjamin (she/her) Practice Player
Benish got dragged into playing in 2016 and hasn’t stopped playing since. She started out playing in high-school with WWP Dragons and Knights, also later playing with DeVYL Valkyries for two years. After graduating high-school, she moved to Philly and played at Temple for 5 years. She also played club and pro seasons with Princeton Jughandle, Philadelphia Flight, Philadelphia Surge, and Philadelphia AMP.

Benish fue arrastrada a jugar en 2016 y no ha dejado de jugar desde entonces. Comenzó a jugar en la secundaria con los WWP Dragons y Knights, y también jugó con DeVYL Valkyries durante dos años. #74 Sam Harris (they/them)
Sam started playing ultimate on a whim in their freshman year of high school in 2016, and promptly fell head over heels in love with the sport. They've since played and captained for Fieldston High School, New York's YCC mixed U20 program and Wesleyan University Nietzsch Factor, and have played for New York XIST since 2023. Sam currently coaches for Fieldston, Third Rail Youth Ultimate (TRY U), and the National Ultimate Training Camp (NUTC), and serves as DiscNY's Youth Programs Coordinator. Professionally, Sam is a technical theater educator and performance lighting designer. They're pumped to return for the 2024 NYGL season!

#99 Chelsea Leeder (she/her)
Chelsea has been playing since 2010, and has played in both the women's division and the mixed division, most recently with NYC BENT (known nationally for being not only a powerhouse team but the cutest team in the division). She currently coaches the smart, funny, and talented athletes on Strut, RPI's women's division team. Chels plays in the capital region and owes a shoutout to the boys of CROP for coming out to field workouts and getting in lots of weekday reps. Outside of frisbee, she is a designer and lives with her husband-in-training and two perfect cats.

Chelsea ha estado jugando desde 2010 y ha jugado tanto en la división femenina como en la división mixta, más recientemente con NYC BENT (conocido a nivel nacional por ser no solo un equipo poderoso, sino también el equipo más lindo de la división). Actualmente entrena a las atletas inteligentes, divertidas y talentosas de Strut, el equipo femenino de RPI. Fuera del frisbee, es diseñadora y vive con su esposo en formación y dos gatos perfectos.
#67 Eliza Knapp (she/her) Practice Player
Eliza started playing frisbee two and a half years ago when the ultimate frisbee team in college dropped a disc off at her freshmen dorm. She used to swim a lot in high school and figured it could be fun to try a team/field sport for the first time! It took her a year to learn how to throw a flick, but all the people there were so wonderful and encouraging that she stuck with it :). Eliza is having the best time captaining Harvard Quasar, and over last summer she tried mixed for the first time with League of Shadows in Boston.

Eliza comenzó a jugar frisbee hace dos años y medio, cuando el equipo de ultimate frisbee de la universidad dejó un disco en su residencia de primer año. Solía nadar mucho en la secundaria y pensó que podría ser divertido probar un deporte de equipo/campo por primera vez. Le tomó un año aprender a lanzar un flick, pero todas las personas allí fueron tan maravillosas y alentadoras que decidió seguir adelante :). Eliza está disfrutando muchísimo ser capitana de Harvard Quasar, y el verano pasado probó la división mixta por primera vez con League of Shadows en Boston.
#88 Nikki Hair (she/her)
Nikki Hair returns for her 7th season with NY Gridlock. Her first love is Soccer, but after breaking her ankle, she decided to retire to the sport of ultimate, where she again...broke her ankle. Nikki plays club for NY XIST and loves the diversity that comes with playing for a mixed team. She grew up with 11 siblings, which sparked the obvious career choice of being a Nanny. Her favorite parts are sharing in the toddler's strict diet of mac n cheese, and returning them to their parents for the weekend.

Nikki Hair regresa para su séptima temporada con NY Gridlock. Su primer amor fue el fútbol, pero después de fracturarse el tobillo, decidió retirarse y dedicarse al ultimate, donde nuevamente... se fracturó el tobillo. Nikki juega en el club NY XIST y le encanta la diversidad que conlleva jugar en un equipo mixto. Creció con 11 hermanos, lo que llevó a la obvia elección de carrera de ser niñera. Sus partes favoritas son compartir la estricta dieta de macarrones con queso de los niños pequeños y devolverlos a sus padres los fines de semana.
